Hello, World

Every personal site needs a first post. Here's mine.

Every personal site deserves a first post. Not because anyone will read it — they won’t — but because it marks the moment you decided to plant a flag somewhere and say: this is mine.

Why now

I’ve had accounts on Twitter, then Mastodon, then Bluesky. Each time, I posted into the void and watched the platform slowly change the rules of the game. I’m tired of playing games on other people’s courts.

A personal site isn’t a solution to every problem with how we share things online. But it’s a start. When I write here, I own the words. When I decide to take a post down, or change it, or leave it up forever, that’s my call to make.

That feels important enough to act on.

What this place will be

Mostly writing. Some notes. Maybe some things I’m building. No particular theme, no editorial strategy, no consistency guarantee. Just whatever I’m thinking about.

If you’re reading this, thanks for stopping by. There’s an RSS feed if you want to subscribe the old-fashioned way — which I highly recommend.

This post was written at my desk on a Saturday morning. The coffee was good.
