Thinking about
How disturbingly easy it is to build a guidance, and navigation system for interplanetary travel. Like, the fact that I can write a program that calculates an optimal trajectory to Mars, and then simulate it with a high degree of fidelity on my laptop is just wild to me. The fact that this is something that hobbyists have been doing for decades is even wilder.
